Ira & I have been friends since grade school.  We also lived in the same dorm in Ann Arbor.  He was a talented pianist, a good friend and a wonderful person.  Although I have only been in limited contact with him in recent years, I was greatly saddened to hear of his passing.  My condolences to his partner & his family.

Terry Birnkrant and I went to highschool Sunday School class with Ira and I think that his being there plus one other guy whom we bantered with were the reasons we went.  I  lost contact with everyone after highschool except Terry but the memories of those Sundays are indelible.  My condolences to Ira's family.  I hope he found love and purpose.      Margaret Levin Larcade

Larry and I are saddened to hear that Ira has passed away. Ira was Larry's very first close friend. We both remained friends with Ira throughout much of our adulthood.  He was a kind person who will be missed by all who knew him.
our condolences go to his partner.

Such sad news to report that Ira Briskman died this week at his home in Palm Beach, Florida.  He spoke to me about 3 months ago because he wanted to help me with the Florida class reunion.  At his suggestion, We were supposed to go to the Norton Museum as a possible venue for the Reunion next February.  Ira was ill and had a heart condition.  On behalf of the Class of '58, Mumford High, I'm sending our sympathies and condolences to his partner, and 2 daughters (both of whom live in Chicago). Ira will be buried in New York.  He was a gentle, fun-loving, friend to everybody in our class and will be sorely missed.  Rest In Peace, Ira.
