Very saddened to hear of Maida's passing. Maida and i were sorority sisters at Wayne, (I was her Pledge Mother). Our lives intersected after college for decades. Later on in life we were neighbors and shared many breakfasts at Embers Deli where we reminisced about the past, shared about the present and speculated about the future. Since we both had children living in New York we compared notes about our many trips to the city. We kvelled about our children and grandchildren, shared feelings about losses suffered and ways to prop ourselves up when feeling down. Maida had a quick wit, sharp intelligence and friendly nature. After I moved out of the state a few years ago we lost touch and i regret not being able to say goodby to her, but she is remembered and will not be forgotten.
