Ken’s wife, Dorothy, called me to say that Ken died this past May. They had been married for 48 years, live in Northville and have 1 son and 2 grandchildren. Ken was a Math and Science teacher for a while, then received his master’s in library science and was a librarian for the rest of his career. The family were very enthusiastic skiers, and had a ski chalet in Wyoming. Ken also loved northern Michigan. They have a home at Boyne Mountain. Dorothy tells me that Ken often talked to Diane Bloomberg around reunion time, but didn’t attend the last few reunions. I offered my condolences on behalf of our class. May Ken Rest In Peace.
So sorry to hear that Ken had died. Ken and I go way back to fifth grade at Pasteur elementary. I used to look forward to Mondays, when he would tell me how he did in his most recent ice skating event. Ken was a very good speed skater. He usually came in first every weekend, until he started coming in second. Eventually I asked who was beating him every weekend, and he told me it was a guy from near Bay City, named Terry McDermott. I believe Ken felt vindicated when Terry took a gold and silver medal in the 1980 Olympics.

Dear John Marx, Ken’s wife did mention that you and Ken were long-time friends and that he had fond memories of his friendship with you.
