When I think of the word "kind," Joan comes to mind. Also, the adjective "fair." These attributes are not rare. But Joan was almost always this way. Joan was sweet and sincere-- qualities which endear. She was friendly and fair and she did not put on 'airs.' It would be fair to say that she had a way of helping to "make our day" better still. I will remember Joan, but I will--not remember Joan alone; I will remember Nancy, her twin. Knowing them was like a double win. Not to say that they were clones; each had such a specialness of her own.
