I got to know Jan better when we were adults and we spent time together with our spouses , especially in the summer in Charlevoix. She was a bright, fun person to know, and I miss her very much.
To get to Mumford I would walk to Livernois and Curtis to catch the bus. Janice would be at the bus stop each morning too. We would stand around talking until the bus arrived. She was very smart and if we were in a class together, I'd think about which one of us was going to be setting the "curve" for grades. She became a fine highly respected attorney and was a fun and wonderful person. We lost someone very special when she died.
When my daughter attended middle school and then high school, she spent time with a group of friends. One of the kids in that group was Janice's son. So once again we had contact with each other. My daughter and those kids (adults now) still keep in touch. Coincidence?
